I am ready! Or I will be.

Decided to suggest either this new one or the Curry one for Christmas... Ya never know, maybe I'll get both?

Either will be fun. I think the curry one is a lot more mind blowing. Après is more familiar.

Just means I have to pay for one ;-)

I hate that I keep missing these!

Uhm, not sure if it's the same for you, but both are under $20 in the US Amazon store.

You're living your life, so no apologies. Maybe you can attend Burns Night in January.

Oh no - books are shockingly more expensive here than there. It burns me A$$.

Après is $36 Curry is $38

And yeah. Every penny counts.

What about getting them to your friend and then getting them when he visits?

You can call.him Marc 😉

$20 US =$27.70 CDN add the tax and it's $31.85.

So paying him back, or buying it directly, pretty much same diff.

Me buying them thru Amazon.com instead of .CA means I pay the exchange no matter what.

Thanks, Janet! It really has become one of our favorite cook books. Since our meeting, we tried another recipe - Pork Meatballs in a Creamy Curry Sauce - and it is our new favorite. The sauce and the meatballs are both wonderful. I hadn't cooked much with leeks before, but we really loved the taste it added to the sauce.

That sounds simply divine, Kristin, and I am even happier to hear that you are enjoying the cookbook! Now, I can't wait to hear what you find tantalizing in APRÉS. After thumbing through it again, there are a dozen or so new post-its to review for me to decide what I'm going to make.
